Meet the Designer
Heidi Pereira,
Principal Landscape Designer
Dimension Landscape Studio was founded by Heidi Pereira with a simple goal: to give homeowners a more personal, design-focussed experience when planning their landscapes.
Heidi holds a Diploma in Landscape Design and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Horticulture from the University of Guelph, where she graduated with Distinction. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Before opening Dimension Landscape Studio, Heidi worked with landscape design-build firms throughout the GTA, gaining a deep understanding of residential landscape design from the initial idea through to construction. Her experience spans a wide range of projects, from front entrance and curb appeal transformations to backyards with patios, pools, cabanas, outdoor living spaces, and gardens.
Her formal education in horticulture brings an important dimension to the design process, with an understanding of the science and biology behind how plants grow and perform. That knowledge informs every project at Dimension Landscape Studio, from the structure of the spaces to the plants that ultimately bring them to life.

Before Landscape Design, There Was Marketing
Landscape design was not where my story began.
Before becoming a landscape designer, I spent 15 years managing marketing and communications for companies in the financial and logistics space.
At first, the connection between the two careers might not seem obvious. But those years taught me how to listen carefully, understand what people need, ask thoughtful questions, and turn ideas into something clear and actionable.
Every project starts with listening. Each homeowner has a different property, different priorities, and a different vision for how they want to spend time outdoors. Understanding those details is what allows a design to move beyond a collection of ideas and become a landscape that genuinely fits the people who will use it.
And Then There Was My Garden
Long before I imagined becoming a landscape designer, my garden was where I went to unwind.
My days could be long, and the commute home made them feel even longer. I would often arrive home exhausted, and still wearing my suit and heels I would step straight into my garden.
And just like that, the day felt different.
Looking back, I realize that I had already discovered the difference a garden could make to everyday life.
What began as a personal love of gardening eventually became a career in landscape design. Today, I get to bring together the things I enjoy most: gardens, design, horticulture, problem-solving, and working with people.
Why I Love This Work
One of the things I enjoy most about landscape design is that every project is a new journey, shaped by the property, the people, and the way they want to experience their outdoor space. I enjoy figuring out what will make a particular landscape work for them, then bringing those ideas together into a space that feels personal and natural to the way they live.
The goal is not simply to create a beautiful garden. It is to create a landscape that makes everyday life a little better and provides a setting for the moments that matter most.
